Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets for assigned ship inspections.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of inspections, including scheduling inspectors, arranging access to vessels, and securing necessary permits.
- Manage and track project progress against established timelines and budgets.
- Identify and address potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication with clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders.
- Inspection Oversight:
- Lead and oversee the work of inspection teams, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and company standards.
- Review and analyze inspection reports, identifying deficiencies and recommending corrective actions.
- Liaise with classification societies, port authorities, and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inspection quality and efficiency.
- Business Development:
- Assist with the development and implementation of business development initiatives.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the maritime industry.
- Proven experience in planning, executing, and managing complex projects.
- Strong understanding of international maritime regulations and classification society requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and project management software.
